Sol Melia, who acquired Innside in 2007, will be opening the first Innside by Melia outside Germany in Barcelona this July.
Innside by Melia will be situated in the 19-story Torre Europa in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, a southern suburb of Barcelona near the El Prat airport. The hotel is situated at the Placa d’Europa development containing many high rises at the gates of Barcelona. The Torre Europa is designed by Catalan architect Oriol Bohigas of Olympic Village and Olympic Port fame.
The hotel will provide 100 apartments (studio to 4 room) aimed at extended stay, a restaurant and a swimming pool with fitness centre on the 9th floor.
Innside by Melia currently operates nine hotels in Germany, including Bremen, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich. Innside Hotels are known for their contemporary style.
