Buda Castle Fashion Hotel Description

The Hotel Buda Castle combines the strengths of a beautiful historic building, contemporary comfort and a near-perfect location in the Hungarian capital, near the Royal Palace. Though the hotel has just recently opened, the charming building dates back to the 14th century, when it was built as a commercial residence; later on, in the 16th century, its cellar was used for hiding refugees during the Turkish occupation. Today you can still appreciate the splendid brick vaults in the lounge bar, though the hotel has also undergone a radical refurbishment to bring it up the 21st-century levels of comfort. Decoration throughout is resolutely modern, with beiges and creams that harmonise with the original brickwork, though brought to life with the occasional vibrant modern artwork. The soothing colour scheme and attention to detail extend to the rooms, which are wonderfully light and welcoming.

The 25 luxurious rooms of the Hotel Buda Castle are all generously sized and elegantly furnished in a modern style. All enjoy such contemporary luxuries and amenities as WiFi internet access, a laptop-size safe, a large flat-screen television and individually controlled air-conditioning. Rooms face onto either the quiet surrounding streets or the beautiful and tranquil interior courtyard. Breakfast is served in the Orangerie lounge, and the hotel also has a café and snack bar open daily until midnight. If you're keen to sample the local cuisine, there is no shortage of restaurants to chose from nearby.

The Hotel Buda Castle can be found at the heart of the castle district, one of Budapest's more elegant quarters on the Buda side of the city. The local area is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the historical streets, which were once the commercial and governmental centre of the city, provide a fascinating view of the city’s glorious past. Holy Trinity Square, Mathias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion are all a few steps from the hotel. You are also well positioned for public transport.
