Located in Kensington, Base2Stay mixes boutique hotel services with apartment-style accommodation. The modern rooms have air conditioning, free Wi-Fi (subject to fair use) and a kitchenette.

Base2stay has easy access to Earls Court and Olympia exhibition centres, many museums, Harrods, Knightsbridge, Kensington Palace and Hyde Park.

Each room in the white town house has a flat-screen TV, 30 pay-per-view films, music, a work station, an oversized power shower or bath, toiletries, and British and European power sockets. A number of rooms interconnect.

Other services include a 24-hour reception and daily maid service. Guests can use the nearby Fitness First Leisure club at an additional cost.

    I have been to Base2Stay a couple of times over the past year, and have found it to be a very pleasant and enjoyable place to stay, especially on a budget. The staff are very helpful, the rooms are furnished to a high standard, the beds are supremely comfy, the whole place is light and bright. Each time I have stayed here, I have shared a bunk room with my teenage daughter, who loved the top bunk spot. We could both lie in our respective beds and watch the television, or just ignore each other. Bliss. Each room is furnished with a full set of crockery and cutlery, a fridge and a microwave, on top of the usual kettle and tea/coffee supplies. This is simply genius; nobody minds if you bring a takeaway back to your room to eat, or you can order something to be delivered, and the staff will let you know when it has arrived. I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good quality accommodation at good value prices.
